This Family Learning Workshop is designed for parent(s)/caregiver(s) and their Pre-K to 12th grade students to learn together during an interactive workshop that includes topics such as basic digital skills, educational tools and games, Internet resources, Microsoft Office, and online safety. Each family who completes this workshop will earn a free laptop.

White Bluff Elementary School students participating in the Title I, Part A program, and their families, agree that this compact outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement as well as describes how the school and parents/families will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the State’s high standards.
JOINTLY DEVELOPED
The White Bluff Elementary staff, student body, and parent/guardian community developed this Family/Parent—School Compact for Achievement. Teachers suggested home learning strategies, an Annual Survey was conducted to gain parent feedback, and students told us what would help them achieve their academic goals. A Parent Forum is held each year to review the compact and make changes based on student needs. As a community, we are dedicated to creating an environment where all children can and will achieve at high standards, through rigorous and relevant learning experiences.
Parents/guardians are welcome to contribute comments at any time.

The Kindergarten classroom will work with students and their families to support students’ success in reading and math. We will help parents understand what their child is learning by:
A. Teachers will send home appropriate reading material for parents and students to read. The teacher will also provide materials to parents so they can ask guiding questions about what they read.
B. Each week teachers will provide parents and students with two new Fry Words and weekly activities to support word recognition.
C. Teachers will provide activities to help parents work with their child on identifying numbers to 0-20
PARENT/FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We, as parents, will:

White Bluff Elementary School students participating in the Title I, Part A program, and their families, agree that this compact outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement as well as describes how the school and parents/families will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the State’s high standards.
JOINTLY DEVELOPED
The White Bluff Elementary staff, student body, and parent/guardian community developed this Family/Parent—School Compact for Achievement. Teachers suggested home learning strategies, an Annual Survey was conducted to gain parent feedback, and students told us what would help them to achieve their academic goals. A Parent Forum is held each year to review the compact and make changes based on student needs. As a community, we are dedicated to creating an environment where all children can and will achieve at high standards, through rigorous and relevant learning experiences.
Parents/guardians are welcome to contribute comments at any time.
