Our beautiful library at White Bluff Elementary is situated at the top our main staircase and features a variety of print, digital, and interactive publications.
We have everything needed to support a diversified learning environment for our 21st century students. Our collection consists of a large amount of online content and materials, as well as more than 7,500 fiction, non-fiction, and picture book titles.
Every class visits the library weekly to check out books and develop information literacy skills, including:
- How to locate materials in a library
- How to use reference materials such as the dictionary, atlas, and almanac
- How to effectively navigate online resources
- Research skills
- Cyber-safety and Navigation
We also host a variety of events such as bookfairs, author visits, special reading events and holidays, as well as a Makerspace for hands-on activities and projects.

Dear families,
Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to build your child’s home library with new books they’ll dive into again and again.
The easiest way to let your child shop the Fair independently is by creating an eWallet (just scan the QR code at the bottom of the page). It’s easy to set up and easy for others to add funds.
Create an eWallet, and you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to Share the Fair - the giving program that supports students at our school who need help buying books. Consider participating so that no child leaves the Fair empty-handed!
Here’s everything else you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates: 4/13-4/17
Location: White Bluff Elementary School Library
For full details, and to create an eWallet, visit our school’s Book Fair homepage:

More than ever, we need to get students reading. Studies prove* that children with more books at home have higher-level reading skills, and attain more years of education overall.
Happy reading,
Joseph D. Johnson, Ed.S.
